Mazdaspeed 3 and Ford Focus ST Solid Rear Drag Mount

    Details:
With the Mazda platform making in excess of 800HP, getting that power to stick is becoming harder and harder to accomplish. With the mounts currently on the market focused primarily on street-driven cars, there's an increasing demand for more solid mounting. To accomplish the task of keeping the motor planted and the tires hooked up, we've got to get serious.

With weight being a real concern when it comes to going fast, our first choice was 6061 billet aluminum. Testing proved this material option to be flawed. After repeated passes by a 500+ horsepower vehicle, the mounting hole began to oval. As testing continued, this condition only got worse. Eventually the mount was pushed to the point of excessive wear around the mounting points and would no longer remain tight.

Sticking to our roots, 4130 alloy steel was employed, and proved to be up to the task. To say the JBR solid rear drag mount is serious is an understatement. It's constructed out of solid 2" round bar, tube and plate, followed with precision TIG welding and powder coating.

We are confident there's no Mazda on this planet now or in the future that this mount can't handle.

But all my teeth rattled out already!

Debating this + factory side mounts. Car became unpleasant after my bsd. Love my trilogy, but it's a little much now.

I would not expect anyone to buy this and NOT to expect vibes. I mean we are LUCKY. My Protege 5 had just the front mount with an 88 duro and it was insane. I have the highest duro JBR all over, I barely notice, mainly because of past experience. That and the tradeoff of the OEM sucking and the old Gen1 OEM trans mount bolt backout and fail.

Yup. There is a price to pay to have a solid engine mount setup. Trade off is still worth it imo
@Raider; bsd is a game changer on vibes from my experience

I was getting at maybe this mount combined with stock side mounts would help stiffen up the engine comparable to all three mounts. While eliminating some of the trans chatter from the tmm and noise from the pmm. But ok.

If you get this mount, Brent, any discussion on vibrations is null and void. Because well, locked in place. I would not trust stock mounts tho.

I like vibes. I have JBR trilogy and i can feel dem vibes, but its not as bad as i though. I am sure this will added more vibes but will also let you keep your engine in place as you launch off the line.
