Hey everyone. New member and relatively new speed with 66k miles and one year of ownership. Bought the car from New Jersey and drove it through the night back to Illinois. All currently install parts in signature. Have to say, absolutely love the car and only want more performance. Would love for some Midwest meets but that is for a different time and thread haha.

Thank you! Yea, I have been eyeing the speed6 for a while. My love for Awd and sedans made me choose this over the speed3. But of course, the extra drive wheels just mean more chassis upgrades before power.

Same here, glad to see love is still here for this 13-14 year old car. I will definitely be starting one soon enough. I buy my parts all at once so I don’t need to constantly be taking off things to put on new ones. So it would be a all at once then silence for a while kind of thread haha.
Thanks a lot for that! But there honestly is such a wealth of information here that researching has been doing me great. The only thing I haven’t been able to find enough information on is DSS 500 hp axles. As I have both rears, but the driver side interferes with the RSB bushings. And yes, I do have the aftermarket smaller profile ones. I have been in contact with DSS and they are very helpful and willing to let me send them mine so they can modify it for my car. Once that happens, I will start my build thread. Thanks again!

I’ve heard of guys just “adjusting” the rsb by grinding the edge of it off where it was hitting. Don’t feel bad about the all at once and silence part because I don’t have enough money to do it that way or I would too lol

My issue is the CV/boot/fastener is contacting the RSB mount and bushing. I think this picture will help.

Well the silence would come from gathering all the parts over time. I’m not made of money either haha. But maybe I’ll start one sooner than later.

Yeah I have seen guys actually grind off part of that side of the sway bar mount to give it just enough clearance to not touch. Looked annoying to do but at least it fixed the issue so you might just go that route to not have to have custom axle work.

Oh really? Have you heard of anyone run into issue after doing that? It does seem like the easier route. But I also have a new oem axle in at the moment. Also to be honest if I can work directly with DSS and get this issue worked out, maybe they can use whatever we find out for future axles. Then no one will have to worry about this issue.

Yup clearance is an issue, on the 3s it's with the front mounts. There's a thread somewhere on there with aftermarket rsb mounts that are slimmer.

I actually found that thread and those are the slimmer ones. Oem and the white line mounts don’t fit at all with the driver side DSS axle on my car.

Based on a few threads it seems there were a couple different versions of the axles inner cv joint. I believe autoedge’s website has a picture of a previous version. But I bought it to see if it would work and it was a different inner cv than in the picture and the same as the one I already had. I explained my situation and they let me return it with no questions. Very satisfied with their customer service btw. Thank you for the advice though.
