10th Gen Civic RaiderFab Bumper Fitment Solution Fenderwell Solution Installation Guide.

    What’s In The Kit:
    • 2 Quik Latches
    • 2 Latch Pins
    • 2 small washers
    • 2 larger washers
    • 4 nuts
    • 2 assist springs
    • 2 assist spring retainers
    • Threadlocker

    Tools Needed:
    • Saw or similar cutting tool
    • Small flathead screwdriver
    • Small phillips screwdriver
    • Trim clip tool
    • Ratchet
    • 10mm socket
    • 11mm socket
    • 11mm wrench
    • Drill
    • ¼” drill bit
    • Stepped drill bit or ¾” drill bit
    • Paint marker or something to mark the bumper

    Installation Process:

    1. Remove front bumper
Using the 10mm socket and trim clip tool remove the front bumper.

    2. Remove bumper brackets
The plastic bumper brackets must be removed and modified. To remove these brackets the single phillips head screw must be removed and then the two plastic tabs must be compressed with a small flathead screwdriver and then the bracket can be removed.

    1. Modify bumper brackets
The boss that the phillips head screw threads into must be trimmed flat. This is most easily done with a saw or dremel with a cut off wheel. The hole that the screw goes into must be opened up to a bit over ¼” using a ¼” drill bit.

    1. Remount bumper brackets and install ball studs
Reattach the bumper brackets to the car. Install the ball studs through the hole that was drilled out. The installation order for the stud from outside is as follows, nut, smaller washer, plastic bracket, car metal, larger washer, nut. Torque the nuts using the 11mm socket and ratchet and 11mm wrench.

    1. Check Quik Latch fitment
Check that the Quik Latch is able to fit inside the square hole when latched onto the ball stud. This is necessary for ensuring it clips in properly once mounted on the bumper.

    1. Mark bumper for drilling
Using a paint marker, cover the end of the ball stud in paint, fit the bumper up to the car and press the side of the bumper onto the painted ball before the paint dries, this will leave a dot to center the drill bit on.

    1. Drill hole in bumper and install the Quik Latch
Using the step drill bit, drill a ¾” hole on the painted dot. It is recommended to put painters tape on the outside painted surface of the bumper to keep the paint from chipping as the drill goes through it. Once the hole is drilled, install the Quik Latch and tighten the nut on the backside with some thread locker.

    1. Install Assist spring and spring retainer
The assist spring and spring retainer help make sure the Quik Latch is always under the assist spring and can’t pop off on its own. Simply install the spring over the ball stud and push the spring retainer over the end of the ball.

    1. Set ball stud height and reinstall bumper cover
Make sure that the ball stud isn’t sticking too far out that the bumper cover bulges, nor too far in that the Quik Latch is difficult to latch. We found that roughly ¾” from the tip of the ball to the top of the nut is a pretty good setting. Finally reinstall the bumper cover and your installation is complete!
