I actually have had a very slow last few years on the track which is a bummer for myself. I will say door to door racing is a bit weird for me. It is one of the few time where I can find peace in a single focus while trying to not get killed balancing a car on the fine edge of control. The mental bliss after you get out of the car and take the helmet if is quite different from anything else I have experienced in life.

Enough exploring my brain here is what i was doing in 3rd gen Mazda 3s this past year.

1st up was doing a TT weekend in our 3rd gen TC Class racecar. We had to retire it from TC racing as the car is too old for the series now but that doesn't mean it isn't available for fun. Did i mention it was REALLY wet? Oh yeah even less traction. The event was with OnGrid at the Ridge in Washington

Next up was Portland Intl Raceway with the SCCA. My plan was to get the car qualified for the SCCA Runoffs (championship race) are VIR. I was out at the Oregon Region SCCA event to get some race weekends in for the qualifying.

It was super cold. As in there was a chance of snow so I brought blizzaks to run in case it got crazy (first time for snow tires at a race weekend for me). I never needed them but still have fun.

In May the "BIG" SCCA event occurs with the Hoosier Super Tour at Portland Intl again. There were quite a few more competitor in Touring 4 class which made for more entertainment. It also did not have a chance of snow.....

Last event was running our TC car at an IndyCar weekend as a support series. it was Portland Intl again but it was a little weird doing this as a support to a big race event. regardless I only got 1 session I but I did have alot of fun. These pictures are high res so the forum doesnt like them so click it to see.
