I picked this '13 speed up recently. History largely unknown. 66xxx miles with a cai and that's it. Using torque I can see the fuel rail pressure is staying in the 1600s under load, the boost targets seem to be stock so I'm pretty sure no tune, and I'll go ahead and say I can't post any logs yet because I'm waiting on my cable for versatuner. I've having an intermittent but consistent misfire that only happens when spooling the turbo. Hasn't thrown a code for it yet. Idle is fine, cruise is fine. Cold or hot doesn't matter. Different tanks of fuel didn't matter. It's almost like it corresponds with when the car would be switching to open loop, but it'll occasionally happen when spooling up even without enough load (I think) to switch to open loop. I'm not doing much wot until I can log properly, so I'm not sure how long it would persist. I just lift whenever it happens and generally try to stay out of full boost until I get this sorted.

Anyway, while waiting for my tuner I'm taking care of some basics including plugs and hpfp this weekend. When I pulled the plugs the gap looked huge. They're all somewhere in the .045 range or a little bigger.

My question, esteemed forum members, is would that enormous gap potentially cause random misfires under load? Or am I being overly optimistic that this is going to be a simple fix?

    Cheers!

Spark plugs gap should be 0.028 the huge gap is 100% causing the misfire

Here's hoping. That first one I pulled looked like a pipe wrench compared to the new ones I had just gapped.

Can close this one out. No further misfire or hiccups after swapping the plugs. Thanks @Easter Bunny.
