clutch master no work

I'm gradually assembling a Frankenmobile- a 2006 speed six. Clutch pedal is either up or down, nothing in between. I started with opening the slave bleed screw, but no fluid. I disconnected the slave supply, but no fluid. I disconnected the slave supply at the clutch master, but no fluid. I disconnected the the supply to the master from the brake/clutch reservoir. Fluid comes out of the reservoir. I disconnected the master supply at the master and fluid comes out. I tried pumping fluid into the master, with no positive result- nothing changed at the pedal, nothing came out of the slave side of the master. Sticking my head under the dash and observing the action of the clutch master activating (?) rod, I notice that after it moved straight in for a short distance the rod moves upward and cannot be centered in the master cylinder bore. Bad master cylinder? Big deal to replace?

 

not sure why the rod doesn't go in and goes up but your pedal should not go limp. next time it sticks down look at your clutch pedal and make sure the rod is lined up with your clutch master cylinder, if it is then i would suspect the master is not primed with fluid or it has failed. replacement is pretty simple, hydraulic connection in the engine bay and 2 12mm nuts (1 inside the cabin and one inside the engine bay) and it comes out. you may want to remove your pedal completely and inspect for damage.

My clutch was not completely dis engaging recently, it turns out the pedal itself was broken at all 3 mount locations.

 

I had the same issue on my MS6...Also, when blleding the cutch system, there is a connection point where the line goes from hardline to flex. crack that connection and bleed to that point. Then tighten and bleed to the slave. The master dosent have enough piston throw to completely bleed the complete line.

 

Damn! mine broke in that same spot aswell.
