Hey guys, looking into coils for my relatively newly purchased ms3. Stock shocks are completely blown out, and I think it’s time for an upgrade. I’m currently looking into an option from fortune auto
(https://shop-fortune-auto.com/produ...e_SFbEvax8tsAr50v1gojVbX5rTDh5ahoC8EIQAvD_BwE), as they are based in Richmond (an hour away from me) and were recommended to me by friends. I noticed that on the default spring rate selection, the rear springs are a lower rate than the front, which doesn’t seem to align with other options (usually the front is a higher rate than the rear). Does anyone have suggestions for spring rates? Or possibly suggestions for a different but better set of coils at that price range?

    thanks!

I’ve also been looking at the option from corksport, but I am seeing mixed reviews and people having problems. Should I even consider? I would like to not slam the car given it is my daily (I know coils aren’t the best option for a daily), and these are appealing due to their ride height adjustability.

So I had previously looked into these and kinda decided against them due to the fact that they aren’t adjustable, don’t have camber plates, and I would need to use stock strut mounts and bearings which to my understanding are a common failure point on these cars. Do they perform as well as a fortune auto 500 set would for that price point?

Can't compare to fortune but I got 125 k miles out of the stock tophat assembly so don't know what more you could want.

The b16 is adjustable for a little more money

Personally I have put some form of bilsteins on a bunch of different cars and they have always behaved exactly how I wanted them to so I tend to stick with them now
