Sorry folks, it's a no go, unless you shim stuff.

Firewall mount clearance is fine (sitting on the tophat shaped grommet retainer thing (essentially sitting on the mount):
    Firewall mount gap.jpg

At the rail, though, on the passenger side; it's the mounting bracket holding up the TMIC at this point, which is why it's not touching the rail:
    Passenger side rail clearance.jpg

    And driver's side:
    Driver side rail clearance.jpg

Might as well be at the club, grindin'.

    How bad is it?

    Passenger side:

    Driver's side:

I'd say about a quarter inch or so; *probably* safe to shim, but would reduce flow to the TMIC as a result (if the shroud even allows for that much shimming -- not sure on that).

Side note: I didn't bother to test my CPE TMIC because it's even taller and runs even closer to the intake mani / valve cover

if someone has a CPE TMIC installed we can compare measurements.

What injector length is that rail setup for? 34 or 48mm?
Perhaps the extra bosses CS had to add to have material to machine for the port injectors is eating up too much real estate.

Considering the TMIC is riding on the brackets, I'm using the 40mm (lower of the two) rail mounting points.

Thats too bad, I think most people generally run the ID1050Xs at 48mm, I was hoping a set of 34mm would free up enough real estate. Damn!

I have a CPE TMIC installed, what measurement are you looking for?

    Damn, totally forgot about this.

Distance between bottom of TMIC (just forward of coilpacks) and valve cover.

Pics above are with a CS TMIC. Stocker will probably fit, so if you wanted to shoot for 400 WHP you could probably staple two stockers together side by side...but you wouldn't really need PI for that, and two stockers likely won't get you much north of 400-450.

Just wanted to identify what was in the pictures.
I feel like this might work on Gen two

on my car i have just under 40mm between the bottom of the intercooler and the valve cover.

CPE Gen2 TMIC with MS6 elbow if that makes a difference.

Anyway to modify the brackets if using a 34mm based injector?

Not sure 6mm will be enough, but I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to make a couple new L brackets by drilling holes in bent metal.

I have a gen2 with cpe tmic and I am researching PI. You mentioned it maybe possible with shimming? Is there a power limitation to the tmic? I was thinking maybe the TMIC could be shimmed or the brackets modified for clearing the fuel rail with ID1050s, which i believe is 48mm? I also was considering hood or hood air intake modification. My goal is to preserve tmic but if air flow would be worse after the modification then I guess fmic is the only way to go. thanks

On det free corn mix I think the TMIC record is a daily driven 550 wheel (with 6th port).
Flow wouldn't change with shims, just your hoses would need to be a touch longer.

What turbo do you have? 48 mm injectors are only going to make clearance worse

I'm in the process of installing cst4 with ewg. I'm not ready for PI but I am getting ready.
