    Hello Mazda community!
I am a complete noob to the Mazda scene, I recently purchased a 2008 Mazdaspeed3 from the original owner - with 137k miles on the clock (the guy was an older gentleman). The car has been well taken care of but unfortunately it has been driven in the harsh MN winters so it is showing some rust. Items that have already been recently updated by the previous owner (at a professional shop) are:
    -Mazdaspeed cold air intake
    -Aftermarket rear motor mount
    -shifter base bushings
-front and rear struts (new springs too)
    -front sway bar bushings
    -rear sway bar endlinks
    -front and rear brakes
-power steering, brake system flush, and transmission fluid change

Other than that the car is bone stock. The clutch feels like it has plenty of life left as well (still oem). I have been out of the car game for a bit and it is my first forced induction car.
I look forward to getting to know this mazdaspeed community, which seems really legit! Full disclosure, I used to be part of the Honda scene (8+ Years ago) and had a 1996 Acura Integra GSR that was mildly built.
If anyone is interested in pointing me in the right direction with initial mods and things to be aware of to keep this thing RELIABLE, I am very open to any and all suggestions. I’ve been seeing one of the first mods would be a tuner of some sort (Access port v3?!?) and a HPFP. I am not looking to go balls to the wall, just want to learn more about my car from experienced peeps!

    Sorry for the novel!
