Just came by to check out the new forum. I can see setting up roots here from now on. Raider (et al), this place is pretty cool, good job putting it together.
I'm old and a late adopter. Some might say crotchety at times. Change is a hard pill to swallow. Really I don't like where msf is heading and the way Raider got treated still irks me. I would much rather support work over here to better the platform(s). I will say that Halbot is an unwelcomed friend. [doublepost=1482265191][/doublepost] So kind, just like home. Has that warm tingly feeling written all over it.
Welcome! People here tend to be nicer, but you'll still sometimes see full-grown men engage in elementary schoolyard behavior. Particularly certain members (it's their hobby). I'll not name names; in time they'll self-reveal; just watch... it really is hilarious. Just LOL @ it, especially when I act a fool (hey, I'm certainly not perfect)
hehe... It almost sounds like your apologizing. [doublepost=1482270785][/doublepost]Hey, anyone know how many posts it takes to put in for the raffles?
A combination of pre-emptive personal apologies for when I inevitably miss it, and a legitimate warning of trolls and cliquish misanthropes that hang around here
Hmmm, well I ended selling my old condo and moving this year two times before buying a new house. I also seized my motor this year in a street river and got a new edge stock block. Needless to say, I've been MIA from the forums for 6 months plus with a few things on my plate. Was thinking of finishing up my idea of using a Focus LCA and building the hardware to make it camber adjustable and workable with the Whiteline mustang RCA ball joint I already have on my MS3. Got someone who will watercut me the parts, just need to do it.
So what you're saying is, nothing has changed from the old forum? [doublepost=1482278860][/doublepost]Stock block is perfectly fine. No point going built as I plan on eventually running an S3 on pump 91. I haven't done a compression test, but no oil consumption. I have a wicked rattle coming from my HPFP that I am trying to fix, but otherwise good. Do you know how many things get jacked up when you go snorkeling with your car? Too many to count, but almost done.
Depends if the "cool" (term used loosely) kids (term used precisely) like you or not Semi-joking aside, it's much nicer here. Seriously.
I think it's 40 posts to enter raffles, I'm probably wrong though. I've had cars flood before, my heart goes out to you. Hopefully your a/c compressor didn't seize along with that motor.
