Hi there to all members here! I'm new to this forum but a almost 50 year old proud owner of a ms3 gen 2 for almost 8 years. I see rules are almost same as mazdaspeed forums(rip)
Can anyone tell me here if its possible to write private message to admin and members? i was looking around to see if there was an option to contact raider because he has some info i need to make a clutch decision.
I didn't realize of this forum until years later, such valuable sources to learn and make decisions.

Hi there! i know you from mazdaspeed forums. I need your help with a clutch decision because before becoming a member here i read an old post about your experience with south bend clutch and wanted to talk to you about this. Let me know if you can help me here! Nice to see you have your own forum!

Glad you joined and welcome! If you think that the old forum was good just stick around a while to see how great of a forum @Raider is making. Lots of knowledge already here, lots to be added, but is an awesome forum all around!

Great man! What happens is that i wanted to know how was your experience with southbend until the last day you had it. I'm having a big ass conflict trying to decide for a daily driven near 400 hp car, between sb stage 3 daily, sb stage 3 endurance and act zx5-hdss/zx5-xtss

Welcome! If you're within the TQ limit of the OEM clutch plate (LUK) I'd recommend sticking with it as it bites really well then pair it with a fidanza fly wheel

Ok here is the deal, i will be doing cst4, cs cams, exhaust manifold and 3.5 intake. Right know i have cobb dp, racing beat catback exhaust, ets top mount intercooler, jbr stage 2 intake and a agressive tune. My tuner recommended me act 6 spuck but my friend has it and its kind of harsh for daily driving so i was looking into act zx5-hdss and xtss or southbend stage 3 daily. Its going to be a daily driven car so pedal feel can't be hard, it has to be close to oem

What CS cams? To my knowledge with a otherwise stock engine it's not worth the money.
Don't know about this act clutches stock clutch is good for what like 400wtq? My buddy has the Southbend stage 3 endurance it's definitely heavy for daily but doable imo. Stage 3 daily should be fine. But it's all in the eye of the beholder I'd daily a stage 3 endurance no problem because I'm not sitting in traffic

Thanks for the input on the southbend clutch. So basically stage 3 daily southbend wouldbe my best bet?
The corksport cams were recommended to me by the mad scientist Justin Freek. If paired with cst4 and exhaust manifold they are definately worth it.
If you look at cs dyno sheet net gains are 22hp if paired with cst4 and full bolt ons. If you ask me its worth it, people almost pay 800 for a catback to only net maybe 10 hp at the most. Cams cost 599 for 22 hp, its worth it! think about it.
Honestly i bought them in the first place because they were recommended by Justin.

Yeah Southbend stage 3 daily probably is your best bet but that's my 2 cents. If Justin@freektune is recommending them cool, I can't argue with that nor will I. Don't forget the intake manifold to go with the exhaust mani ;)

wow! was it really hard the pedal feel? i thought you were running stage 2 daily! which is suppose to be a daily easy clutch! dam this scares me and worries me because i was thinking of getting stage 3 daily and still risking of being short to power. I thought of getting ACT 5ZX-xtss rated for 530 but i came across negative reviews of the clutch which held me back and now I'm so undecided. I'm a 50 year old guy which uses his car for daily and to have fun street racing and my knees are not so bad but i have to recognize that I'm no longer a 18 year old kid so its crucial for pedal not to be aggressive because here in P.R. we get stop and go pretty much

I have no cartilage in my knees so they hate me. Keep that in mind.

Dam thats bad! thats not my case, i get sored knees once and then but not all the time. i run on the threadmill for 40 minutes3 to 4 days a week but i don't know if this is an indicator to take into consideration. I know i will be making over 350 on the wheels which is like 430 or more to the crank, this makes it hard to get both of best worlds(comfortness and power). ACT has there zx5-hdss rated for 449 having a light to moderate pedal feel but the negative reviews held me back. the SB stage 3 daily caught my attention but its rated for 430 which will probably fall short. Oh well

The southbend will probably be fine if you can run. Post pics as you go!

Use the site name and Google search for this >
    mazdaspeeds.org exhaust+manifold <
And use those results to help find some of the forums that have some info. Mazdaspeeds.org + search terms is a easy way to kinda figure the organization of threads and posts instead of starting at the first and reading through all. For me it gave a overall sense of the distribution of knowledge, especially if a specific car, device aren't listed for your needs. Especially if within a thread you find excellent advice for your specific needs but the thread header does not have your specific interests.

"Exhaust manifold site:mazdaspeeds.org" into Google, anything you put in with with the "site:mazdaspeed.org" following will only query the forums. We're working on improving the built in search function.

CPE exhaust manifold is probably the best out there currently it's cast and holds up well, corksport just released a nice cast one as well, I personally haven't seen too much data on it yet the data CS released seems very promising and I'd personally take the leap on it but it's backordered.
Graveyard performance has got some good quality tubular manifolds (use "mso5" no quotes for 5% off on their site).

As to create thread probably ms3/6 engine or the ms3 general discussion
