Been wanting to upgrade my horn forever. Bought a low tone add-on but either I got a bad one or did a poor job doing the install. I have checked it a few times. Just seems like the combo of the two aren’t in sync and/or sound like shit.

Well anyways I thought about getting this BadBoy horn:

    https://m.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200326940_200326940

But the vids I’ve seen don’t really sell me this horn. I’ve looked at a few others but they all sound like high pitched horns. Loud? Yes. But sound meh.

Anyone ever tried to install the same horns as another car with an actual normal horn? I have a F150 and that horn combo is loud as shit. Thought of installing that combo but for whatever reason I can’t pull the trigger without checking first. Not sure of any reason this wouldn’t work. Am I missing anything?

I wanted loud. Got me a Fiamm freeway blaster.

Sounds good plus it's a plug and play.

Hella are over rated. Truck horns are good.

I bought two horns off of Waytek when I ordered some cable and fittings a long time ago.

They had a high note and low note, bought both and wired them in. A little louder than stock, but not as loud as I would like.

Curious as well about what everyone else uses.

My stock horn is so high pitched, it sounds like your brakes are squeaking. My buddy has some junk semi's. I'm going to check out the electric "City horns" on them. They should swap in easy and give that low and loud blast I want.

It can’t be this hard to get a horn pair that sounds like a regular car. Ima look more into the truck ones again.

Hella Sharptones fucking rule. Loud as fuck and lower pitch tone than the Supers that most people use. Had them on the juan, now have a set on the pu.

I had the bad boy, it's cute. Have super tones, debating sharptones right now, just because different and a little louder.

Thing is. I don’t really want loud if it’s just a high pitched air horn loud. I want the dual tone sound that you got from older cars where the horns were built outta steel or whatever tf they made em from. Loud but not an air horn.

These are super loud but I don't find the tone to be obnoxious at all. It's a good amount lower pitched than the Supertones (red) that WRX owners and the like always run.

Can’t link an amazon product. Either that or Tapatalk can’t handle it. Not sure which. Can link another one? I had to use Walmart.

Linked fine for me. Just pop "hella sharptone" into amazon. I got my most recent set for like $23 shipped, installed them in the stock horn location. Still always cathes me off guard when I get trigger happy on engaging the alarm and the horns beep as I'm standing right in front of the car

Tapatalk is garbage, just use the website. I bought sharp tones from amazon and have been happy with them.

heh. even using website the link doesn't work for me. maybe i'm special.

this is what it looks like for me: MEDIA=amazon]B00R3O0Y0M[/MEDIA (with brackets)

Anyways, i checked em out. we will not be needing the relay then, correct? Are yours yellow or red? looks like the red are the 'blistering' version. w/e tf that means.

They're louder if you use the relay but still loud without it. Red is the Supertone model. Slightly louder decibel rating, incredibly obnoxious tone. Youtube has a good comparison video.
