    Lift arm-rest:

Pull up to remove cup holder assembly:

** I forgot pictures -- but pull the e-brake handle off. It WILL slide off with some force. I've read in some threads that there are clips at the base you have to deal with. There aren't. Just pull. **

    The problem. Metal-on-metal contact:

I opted to use moleskin, because it's what I had and I knew it would work. Use what you deem suitable:

I applied three strips of moleskin. Top. Left. Right. There's no outer metal jacket on the bottom, so the base is of no concern.

Trim your tape, if needed, with a razor blade. It's a tight fit sliding the e-brake cover back on:

    Slide E-brake boot back on:

    Slide E-brake handle on:

Slide boot up and over e-brake handle clips:

    Replace trim:

    All done!

Thanks for this writeup, just did it myself and although I saw no need to pull out the cup holder I did it anyway and found that the e-brake appears to be really easy to adjust, which I'll be taking care of later. Thanks again!
