To completely neuter boost and fueling control past a certain point? I'm considering using my Megasquirt to do both since I can change the tune on the fly without having to flash. Only thing I won't be able to do reliably is timing...maybe.

How about a base wastegate table for each gear? Possible? Not enough memory?

I emailed Steve. I don't think he has his settings to get email notifications.

The wastegate base table is gear independent. You can play with the per gear Req Load tables and Requested Load Multiplier Accel/Decel tables to compensate for per-gear boost behavior. The flow is APP input --> Req Load --> DBW --> BCSDC Base By modifying the req load, you affect the BCS DC Base lookup.

I had an issue with the 15 PSI spring on my old setup not getting anything dialed back in 1st/2nd but the 10 psi spring worked fine for detuning by gear. I'm hoping it won't be an issue on the new setup.

    Example:

You should be able to set the per gear Req Load and the DBW tables such that you can control power in any gear. You may have the throttle opening too much at low req load.

It was the same for both 10 and 15 psi springs, both with and without a tune for meth.
I guess if it's going to still be an issue after the build, we can figure it out then.
