2006 mazdaspeed 6 121,000 miles fully bolted minus turbo. I noticed I’m losing about a quart of oil every 1,000 miles or so. Compression is 180 165 155 170. I haven’t for sure figured the oil loss and compression is related I do have a few leaks and no catch can and never replaced the pcv. My real issue is with the compression I had the manifold off and the valves are pretty bad. I’m wondering if dirty valves could cause compression related issues? Spark plugs don’t have any oil on them. I was having really bad kr issues while tuning. I now run 1 gal of e85 and the rest crappy 91 and get 0 kr except for the occasional 2.45 at wot if the engine is really heat soaked.

The oil is going somewhere. Underneath, any signs of leaks from turbo lines, etc? Take turbo inlet off and see if oil there, then on the hot side off the turbo to the intercooler. Look at the coupler right off the turbo. Caked valves are bad, blast em.

Where are the oil leaks? Any oil smoke in the exhaust if you have the OEM Turbo good chance it's starting to leak as raider said.

Yes dirty valves are bad if one isn't sealing properly it could cause isssues chance that rings or even bearings in the engine are starting to go out if you're not getting to much knock

Oil leaks seem to be coming from where the transmission meets the engine. And all over the bottom of the oil pan maybe the drain bolt or somewhere else. However I have only a tiny spot in my driveway and I park in the same spot. There was some oil in my boost pipe off the turbo but not a whole lot. Before the front mount there was oil pooling up in the beginning of my throttle body. I Get no smoke And have 0 cats but stock mufflers.

Here’s an update After I cleaned the valves there was no kr for a week then it came back. i believe my oil consumption is related to the kr. i get oil smoke after 2 step as it hits idle for a couple of seconds. but never smoke on idle constantly and can never see any while wot but can smell oil and have been told theres a little smoke at wot. new pcv valv and occ, comp and leakdown passed. i attached some hot pipe pictures theres some oil but idk if thats enough to say the turbo is bad. also i dont get any kr until iv been driving for 20 minutes And my first 4-5 pulls I get 0 kr then I start getting 1-3 almost like once the turbo gets hot I get kr and smoke. Leaning towards turbo just don’t wanna be wrong and lose some money. Is it common to see kr when a turbo is leaking at wot?
