Hey guys, been a while since I've visited. Here due to more issues with my MAP sensor. I can't seem to keep them around very long. Just like my father D'x
Anyway, so I'm getting ready to buy my 4th MAP sensor in the last 2 years. Which leads me to believe my faulty MAP issues aren't just a bad product. I typically buy the BOSCH 3bar and adjust my VT accordingly to the preset.
My question is, what are the possible causes that would make the MAP sensor fail over and over.
Is it that I'm retarded and not cleaning it enough?
Or could it be faulty wiring? I usually get a couple months out of each sensor, then my gauge stops registering boost. That's where it usually starts.

Just trying to get as much information as I can before I waste any more time or money than I already have.

Are you tying an aftermarket gauge into the MAP sensor?

MAP sensors shouldn't fail on a regular basis. Are they getting oil contaminated or wet somehow?

If the weather wasn't so shit I'd take the throttle body off and inspect the manifold but I don't think I'm running TOO dirty post turbo. Stock turbo gauge

All you need to do is inspect the sensor itself when it's removed. See if it's wet.

Check all the harnesses for water intrusion as well. I was getting water into my ambient temperature sensor in the bumper. It would throw random DTCs as that sensor shares a 5V reference with other sensors.

So I checked out the sensor yesterday as it's the new 1 I just installed but it started throwing me into limp mode again. As far as the moisture on the tip, it's nothing I wouldn't expect from the air compressing. Doesn't smell like oil or fuel. The harness seems intact and the connections are dry... This is really fuckin with me, I'm gonna take the intake apart and take some pictures either tonight or tomorrow to get a better idea
