Hi so i’ve had my MS3 for around 4 months give or take and have put around 5k miles on it (mostly freeway). My issue is especially prominent in 2nd and the higher gears when i get to around 4.5 to 5k rpms at WOT it hits me like a truck or i just slammed on the brakes. I never stay in it after so i don’t know if it really clears up. I had an issue earlier on with a failing maf sensor which i replaced with a used OEM one. Similar feeling issue but this one just occurs at higher rpm. Feel free to call me stupid, but i’ve been looking all over and don’t really know what else.

    mods:
    autotech hpfp internals
    Corksport Carb legal intake
    Corksport mzr bypass valve
stock exhaust with a cobb catback.

How many miles are on the car?
How long ago were the hpfp internals installed?
    Check your spark plug gap

Car has 190,000 and has solid compression across, Spark plugs were gapped to 0.028 i believe (I’ll pull them today and check again, and the hpfp was installed by the previous owner.

Who tuned it? Do you have an AP or other way to get logs? Usually face almost hitting the wheel is a hard fuel cut not a boost cut, which suggests you are severely overboosting. Might be worth checking your hoses to the EBCS and the like.

I don’t have an AP but i’ll probably be getting one sometime this month and the car isn’t tuned. i’ll be checking the hoses to the ebcs later today. i did have an issue with my bypass valve because the previous owner put a cardboard gasket there (yeah idk).

Well if you fixed the cardboard gasket thing and are now overboosting, that's probably why. Disconnect the battery for ~30 seconds and that should fix the boost trims.
