I'm having an issue of no start after engine swap for a 2007 Mazdaspeed 6 GT that shop and dealer have confirmed is in need of Mazda Engine Harness GP9A67070F to get my car running again.

background on what was happening is here:

    https://mazdaspeeds.org/index.php?threads/issue-connecting-battery.15029/#post-104593

I've searched with the OEM dealerships and oem parts dealers as I am looking for one that has not be sliced and marred as the dealer located one, installed it and there was a flaw in it so the vehicle still would not start.

I realize this is a TS forum, but was hoping someone could assist in a source from a used or parts dealer or even someone that has projects where the engine harness may still be in tact. It's been over a month and every order I place or call on is eventually canceled due to being out of stock since it's no longer being made.

The asked the dealer about simply re-doing the entire harness and they advised of how costly this route would likely be as they don't know exactly where within the harness it is faulty.

I'm willing to consider all options/help. At this time no additional troubleshooting is being done by them until I can get this part and actually start the motor that has been installed.

If there is a WTB section here that I missed or this post belongs in a better section, please move there. Thanks

Shocked you found a new harness at all! Here, buying and selling is permitted by those who support the forum as a Metal Member. There is a link to donate. Wiring manuals and more are in the metal Member section too.

    I could donate,
Hopefully the sale section has some project cars or other activity that will be of use. I have the wiring manuals here at the house. I have to search for the entire engine bay harness, dealer said the entire thing needs to be replaced. When I mentioned repairing my initial harness they said the amount of time it could/would be costly.

    Have you looked at eBay?

There are some really good salvage sites that specialize in performance Japanese cars. I see you are in the Midwest this place is near Chicago
    https://www.asolutionsauto.com/

    Also I would check out
    https://541motorsports.com/
    https://www.fattimotorworks.com/
    https://www.ebay.com/usr/salvageperformance

Also @Rokusek might be able to help you find a used one.

Obviously these are all used harnesses but you could inspect them and look for any signs of damage/corrosion. Unfortunately as these cars get older these are the kinds of problems we will run into.

    Great recommendations from all around.

I myself had a similar issue and it took my four used harnesses to get one that was good. It's becoming more and more of an issue that they are deteriorating with age.

I would be willing to help you troubleshoot shoot and try to isolate the issue. As stated I literally just did this with my 1st gen. The harness is pretty easy to meter and isolate to a degree, but finding and replacing could be an issue.

I do also have the ability to search the entire country for wrecking yards who list parts online.

Let me know. I'll do some digging when I get to work and see if there. Is anything out there right now.

You can post a WTB (want to buy) and people can post up as well. Biggest thing I have seen on the Failbook groups is the sammers getting $ and ghosting with people's money. We do not have any issues here.

I had previously checked the first recommendation listed and just now checked again. They are actually selling the last of their inventory and getting out of the Speed 6 game.

On a break I called the next option on the list and it eventually went to voicemail which was full, so probably not the best sign there. I am going to check the sites on the last two and see if something comes up.

I'm in Wisconsin. The biggest metro areas to me would either be Milwaukee or Green Bay. I'm absolutely up for knowing which places potentially have this in stock.

The downside is wiring is a huge weakness for me, and part of the reason the car is currently still at the dealership. I do need to go up there because I did feel they should have been able to isolate which area of the harness is specifically failing because they couldn't/didn't provide that previously and opted to get an entire harness that they later stated was worse than the original one.

Info not needed, but the second reason car is still with the dealer, is that I hesitate to bring it home because the shop that installed my engine and parts, had it transferred to the dealer when they couldn't troubleshoot the matter any further. Once it does finally start if there is an issue I don't want their to be finger pointing that it was customer error.
