To start, my car is a 2008 speed3 with a Freektune Protune. My Modlist is the following:

    • Autotech HPFP internal kit

    • JBR 3" aluminum intake

    • CPE Catted Downpipe

    • CPE 3" catback

    • TurboXS Hybrid BOV

    • Damond RMM

    • OE heat range NGK Iridium spark plugs gapped to .28"
As the title states, I have noticed a stutter in WOT in first gear that usually occurs at ~5500 rpm. Sometimes the engine stutters twice at ~3800 rpm and then ~4600 rpm instead-but usually it happens at 5500 rpm. Being in any other gear the engine does not stutter at all.

However, in all of the other gears, I am only hitting a peak of 16 psi of boost as measured by my accessport where I would usually hit a peak of 22 psi.

I was only able to get one datalog and it was not very good because traction control kicked in.

I've had my modifications done to my car since September or October last year so I am unsure where the problems could have developed. I only noticed this a week ago. I am already thinking to check my plugs. Any other ideas?

    Check your spark plug gap

Look for leaks in the intake tract

Your first gear problem is likely traction control or swas

If your plugs are gapped to .28" that's wide AF they should be 0.026-0.028" check plugs also when in doubt a maf clean never hurts.

I mistyped I mean 0.028". I think I would have issues before now if I gapped them to .28". I'll try cleaning MAF but with the low boost I am thinking of a boost leak somewhere

Probably Easter Bunny did say to look for leaks...

If you're ltft is > +/-7 at idle you've got a leak somewhere same thing if it's during cruise. Certainly if you see 10 or more

Solved, a hose on the intercooler was loose and leaking and I just needed to readjust it and tighten the hose clamp. Everything is running normal now.

That'd do it glad you're running again
