Hello everyone! I’ve come for everyone’s opinion on an engine I found on Facebook marketplace. It has Manley h beam rods, weisco pistons, no balance shaft, and a cracked exhaust valve (head and block already separated). He said it had 7k miles, being ran with a bnsr s3. Obviously I plan to tear it all down and rebuild it, but what should I look out for? All I really care for is the block rods and pistons everything else I don’t mind sourcing elsewhere, but is there a chance those 3 things could be trash? Everyone’s opinion is useful to me here, I’ve never rebuilt a 2.3.

    Thank you all!

Who tuned it? Who built it?

And if it was built by graveyard and tuned by drama, you want nothing to do with that paperweight.
