Greetings....I have a 2011 Speed3 with a bad left front bearing. I removed the knuckle, pressed out the old bearing and hub, installed the new bearing, retaining clip and hub and mounted the knuckle on the car......Here is the issue: Now the left front caliper bracket will not center with the rotor and the outside ears on the bracket bind with the outside surface of the rotor. I checked the dimensions of the hub to knuckle and they are the same as the right front assembly. The distance between the hub mating surface to the rotor and the caliper bracket mounting surface are the same for both right and left assemblies. The only difference is the left caliper bracket drags against the rotor with such force as it locks up the rotor from turning.

I have removed the knuckle assembly and checked the depth of the hub to the knuckle by attempting to press the hub in further, however the hub is seating completely and the assembly rotates properly.

I have tried a new rotor with no luck in improvement.

For some reason, the bracket is jammed against the outer surface of the rotor.

I can add washers to the bracket mounting ears, but this would defeat the heat sink qualities of the assembly.

    Can anyone give some advice?

    Hello and welcome to mso!

That's peculiar, especially with just a bearing swap.

Is the bracket simply on the wrong side of the ears? Any pics? How's it look when compared to the other side?

are you sure that the new hub was the same size as the old hub?
