I've got the valve cover off doing a VVT replacement job and anything else I find while I'm in there. I measured valve clearances, as found below (170k miles) I built this spreadsheet myself using the shop manual. All of the current are missing because I haven't taken off the camshafts yet.

I have not taken the camshafts off yet because I was not sure if this is something I should definitely do with these readings. They are out of spec, but not far. I think I am going to do the adjustment and buy new buckets, but I wanted input from anyone here with more experience. They are almost all out of spec, and I do have some valve noise. Attached is a video of idling just before I started work.

Anyone have any thoughts it would be appreciated. Also looking for suggestions on where to purchase the new ones online. Thanks in Advance.

Also for anyone curious here is the spreadsheet.

If you are already doing vvt now is the time to adjust the lash. Unfortunately I think that some of the bucket sizes are no longer available from mazda

Maybe I am thinking about this wrong, but your spreadsheet suggests something other than valve clearance adjust. Valve clearance changes over time due to wear of the valve seat and a small amount of stretch of the valve stem, resulting in the clearance getting TIGHTER. If I am reading right, you are seeing the clearance getting LOOSER. Since our engines are Direct Injection, and prone to carbon build up on the valves, I wonder if you know if the valves were ever cleaned, maybe large amounts of build up are fouling the valves?
Also, the HPFP is notorious for making noise.

The buckets wear out opening up the lash

Then it would definitely behoove him to actually measure the buckets before going further...
