I sent Sho a PM. And actually, the ones he has, at first glance might look like the VLAND ones. But they are different. Sho says he has these:

The Aliexpress ones have a bank of 4 LEDs per side. The VLAND ones have a bank of 3 LEDs per side, plus an eyelash style turn signal/driving light. They both have a unique look. But I’m curious as to how well they work as, you know, headlights?

Okay, so, there are several LED headlight assemblies available. But, it seems like most of them are for the non HID versions of the 6. I’m not sure if the ones Sho got were designed for HID cars, or if he had to rewire. The ones in the picture above look really sharp to me. But, I’d have to rewire as it is not designed for HID cars. Probably I will just go the upgraded projector route and stick with HID.

I agree those are decent, probably cuz they look the most like the OEM units. I went through the trouble of replacing my lenses on my OEM units but the UV coating is already flaking off after only a few years. Id assume they use the same lenses on the aftermarket units.

UV coating? You put a UV coating on your headlights? Which did you use? I did some looking at Amazon, and there were some ceramic headlight coating products I was considering. I saw another thread here were someone was very happy with their film that they used on their headlights.

After posting the picture above of an aftermarket headlight for the MS6, I noticed that some cars on the road come with very similar looking DRLs. I saw a Nissan and a Lexus with similar DRL. The pictures below I found online, but I think are the ones I saw, or very similar.

I really really like those LED headlights I posted the picture of. At least from the picture I like them. But, since my main goal is better lighting and I really do not know the quality of the projectors and lights, I decided to upgrade my stock headlights instead. I got my hands on a kit that seems to no longer be available. There was a company, M6customs.com, that sold HID upgrade kits among other things for the M6. They still have a website, but there seems to not be anything for sale currently. But I will start a new thread for more discussion.
