    Hello,
I purchased my 13" MSP3 a few month ago, and just notice that everytime my steering wheel is fully turn (left or right) I get this grinding noise, looks like coming from the passenger side. I saw a post and some videos online, of people complaining about the same noise and referring it to the LSD, how true this is? others to change the trans. fluid? to get the Motorcraft/Ford fluid? this noise is very annoying.

    Any help will be appreciated.

Turning your steering wheel fully lock to lock means your power steering pump surges to max pressure of around 150psi which puts strain on the lines and pump. I bought my 2013 speed 3 new and I've had an increased noise since day one when lock to lock. Thay being said it did get louder as I approached 100k km and reduced when I did a power steering flush. Ideally when driving you never crank your wheel fully one end to the other because of the surge in pressure.

Power steering fluid in these cars is ATF fluid, Mercon V specifically. ATF dexron VI is also compatible.

If you want a how to flush it can be found here

I am dealing with the same problem. Dealer mechanic said it could also be the wheel rubbing against the undercarriage cover but there is limited space when the wheel is fully turned. Has anyone experimented by adding wheel spacers? I was thinking about adding 5mm wheel spacers to give the wheel a little room to play with

Do you have stock size wheels and tires?

Then there is no need for spacers
