My son bought an OBDII bluetooth dongle that can connect to the radio and display real time info on whichever sensors are available to OBD. You can have up to six parameters displayed and was wondering which ones would be best to be displayed. My top six are coolant temp, vacuum/boost, AFR, Intake Air Temp, Manifold Pressure, and Oil temp if all these are available. Are there any parameters you would put above these? I'm sure there is a list of parameters available he just hasn't gotten that far.
Thanks for chiming in. Top 6 are now: Coolant Temp Actual AFR Boost/Manifold Air Temp Fuel Pressure, Vacuum/Boost Intake Air Temp I'll see if he can give me a list of what can actually be monitored which might make this a bit easier.
IAT is whatever replace it with LTFT so you know if a leak is creeping up. If you're doing a log you want rpm in there as the tach is kinda slow Also see this thread (below) Sho has a really good setup for the accesport for logging and wot runs, JT has a tablet set-up he shows off. Knock and LTFFT swap in an out with eachother depending on if I'm chilling or beating on it.just normal driving or before I go harder I check it to make sure I'm not leaking https://mazdaspeeds.org/index.php?threads/accessport-v3-parameter-monitoring.9757/#post-75719
Yes it is indeed Torque App that is pre-loaded into radio. I'll have him look if any kind of fuel trim monitoring is available. This isn't so much for logs but rather check in and make sure everything is behaving as it should. He just texted me this pic: ***EDIT*** Found the LTFT gauge and replaced Volts.
@Easter Bunny its a Eonon R63. It’s a complete plug and play unit and the only steering wheel control that is lost is the voice recognition. It can be wireless or wired Apple Carplay/Android Auto. So far so good, my kid also had an Eonon in the BMW E90 that always worked flawlesly. I thought about doing a write up on it but never got around to it, maybe one of these days. There are some cheaper versions and there is one that I think was $250ish but that one only had wired Apple Carplay, and unfortunately after it off for over three hours it does a mini reboot when you turn it on, not a huge deal but a tad annoying IMO. You can find them on Amazon
@PeteS check the forums for my post on the unlock codes for the Eonon head units. You can access developer options and stuff to change boot logo etc. I had mine display the Mazda symbol on start up. You can even upload your own images to the units and use those if you want for a custom look. It also helps to connect it to WiFi and update all the apps/core software. Is that unit Android 10?
@L337TurboZ I'll do a google search of the site and check it out. This is currently their top of the line radio running Android 11. Although its always neat having the car logo upon boot up, this unit has a 1 second boot up time so you would never see the logo anyway. As far as wallpapers go, when we were making changes to the gauges upon recommendations posted here, he was trying to figure out how to install his own wallpaper but no dice. I told him just google it. I'm sure someone has created a thread or YouTube video by now. As far as the voice recognition, its laggy af on the wife's 19 CX-5 so I didn't even bother to try it on a car that's 8 years older and quite frankly with the Apple CarPlay feature I'm guessing he can just say "Hey Siri..." and get much better results.
