So a lesson for you kids. Wraps are cool and all but they are 4 year life max. Don't wait 12 years. It will pit and be damaged. Lucky for me I have a professional installer who tackled this over the span of 3 weeks. From a heater and wrap to just peeling off, it took a while to remove from the roof, bumper and doors. Then the adhesive needed removed, 2k wet sand, prime as needed. Then gloss black self healing PPF installed. It looks like paint.

    Here is the trauma.

Did he put another layer of vinyl on it to make it easier to get off?

A black roof in the Florida sun may have not been the best idea

He used scrap vinyl and a space heater as it came off in tiny pieces.

My youngest earned money washing the pollen off of the Mazdaspeed today thanks to oak and junipers having their thing. Was awesome bonding time and he was begging to wash it. Fine by me. Yes, a pressure washer would have been nice but this was inexpensive and easier to manage.

Loving the ppf. Sucks having a couple roof dings but she's got battle scars like the Monday lunch dancers at the Kit Kat Club. He's been asking to be able to wash it. I had to get the washing stuff though because I gave it all away after my wreck made washing not really possible. He's happy to make money, and I'm happy to see his interest in helping.

Fun weekend. Replaced the door seal as it ripped because of my absolute dump truck of an ass rubbing against it when I got in. No problem. Christine required a sacrifice. That was in the form of the Mazdaspeed inlay on the sill plate popping off. 2x 3m VHB tape and back in.

Next is the Hella horns. Relay cooked so got a $12 harness kit and plug n play to make it work. Gotta take pics and tidy it up tomorrow.

Oh...what sacrifice was required for this correction? Hood release cable clip. Fun. Don't worry, I zip tied and added a it glue retainer. Might need a junkyard one but I bet those are fried too.

Zip ties in a figure 8 pattern work well too. Really cheap and frustrating until you figure out the origami.

Bro... Why not just do hood pins and get rid of that cable?

The safety latch is still highly recommended. I am seriously considering it though, just to show the product line.

The latches are pretty much universal. The Throtl GenPu Overland MS3 has them. It comes with general instructions from Quik Latch though.

So what your saying is that your gonna send me some lockable latches, I'm going to cut up a perfectly good hood to install these and do a How-To so you can create an item to post under raiderfab section?

    Ok, I'm in.
