Alright guys so the title says it all pretty much. I am in need of new tires and am thinking about getting a new set of wheels as well. Has anyone ran XXR’s? I am thinking about getting a set of xxr 527D’s with the more offset but idk if I can get them to fit. So, if you have then what style and specs were they and what tire did u run! PLEASE POST PICS IF POSSIBLE!

RPF1 is the only choice. 16.9 lbs a corner.

17x9 +45 (but I run spacers to clear the coils)

First off amazing ride man. Second off how much does a set run? What offsets do they come in and what tire size are you running?

    Did someone say RPF1?

Then again, I don't know how they look on an MS6. Konig Hypergrams are another good option for a lightweight but sturdy, and not outrageously priced, wheel. @JohnnyTightlips snagged a set of Drag wheels from DiscountTire on the cheap; they weigh about a thousand pounds each but he likes them.

Yeah, wow, you need new wheels. That pic has 245s on it, in a few days I will be putting them back on with some 255s.

I picked up the wheels for $1100 (with tires) used. New, they arent the cheapest around, but they are some of the best. If you search your local craigs list they should have a few around. They are a very popular wheel, they come in quite a few sizes and offsets.

No idea, Ive just heard people talk about the cheap casting of them. Im sure they are fine for most people, but Ive seen Michigan pot holes eff up steel wheels, so I cant imagine what it would do to poorly cast ones.

A guy I work with broke 2 stock speed 6 wheels on IA winter potholes. If the shit is bad enough it won't matter what wheels you have.

I'm on XXR 530 18x8.5 +35 for about 3 years now, they have been great I avoid the already limited amount of pot holes where i live though.

Thanks and your ride looks great with those wheels! I hope I can come up with the money for some soon. Do very many members live around Indiana for the buy and sell section?

One of my Nator brethren in South FL had 2 sets of CAR for autocross, nothing bad ever happened to them but he was always expecting something.

Another guy had his wheel crack at the spokes and ditched it before it got worse.

Another guy ran XXR wheels for a while on his daily, had some of the lip start to crack off on one wheel. Took it one day to get fresh tires on and another wheel had the whole outside rim of the wheel crack right off on the tire shop guys. The shop comped him for a new one but lesson learned, even if they appear to be hit or miss you get what you pay for.
