I'm swapping a Mazdaspeed 6 engine into another vehicle. As of right now I've narrowed down what modules I believe will be required to get the engine running. Despite thinking I can make something work with out disabling/deleting the Immobilizer or PATS or what ever you want to call it. I am looking to see if anyone knows of a company that can delete it so I can simplify and clean up the wiring and what is needed. I understand I could go with a standalone ecu and solve this issue but that is not within the budget. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks appreciate the link. Seems like this may help out. Unfortunately my car has the automatic keyless entry (AKE) stuff. Do you know of a way to make the system a non-keyless entry system?

After searching around about changing as built data and reprogramming the PCM and a wonderful document someone has created relating to as built data and what each bit means I believe I have figured out how to disable AKE.

I have yet to test this out but I believe this will work. Using Forscan I can edit the as built data from 731-01-01 4911 A000 0034 to 731-01-01 4911 2000 00B4. The only value I am changing is bit 7 in bin2 from 1 to 0 which updates the bin2 from A0 to 20 and updating the check sum to match. For those that are looking to do this for some reason, if you don't understand what I'm doing to not attempt to change this as you may cause issues. Your vehicle could have different as built data and matching what I have could cause other problems. Anything you do is at your own risk and I have not verified that this works. once I attempt I will update this message

Update when looking at as built data in forscan the thing I wanted to change didn't show up. As built data from Mazda as didn't match what I was seeing in Forscan IMG_20240513_200929709.jpg Screenshot_20240509-115032.png
