Just a FYI to everyone with old JBR Catch Cans. Make sure you either have some Zip ties holding the catch can onto your car or have your underbelly pan in place. I recently had my mount break off the can and the catch can fell and hit the asphalt as I was driving. Made nice scratches and a good hole in the bottom of it. Had to get some JB Weld and fix her up along with a new plug for the drain hole. Otherwise the can held up very well.

This is the old Model JBR Catch Can that had the pre-redesigned mount on it. I'm not paying to get a replacement so I just JBWelded the mount back on with Zip ties holding it to multiple points in case it snaps again(shouldn't)

Guess I better check that while everything is off. Or remove it and put in that giant HTP meth reservoir.....

Did you let @JBR know? It has a lifetime warranty.

    The OP did email us.

We expressed our disappointment to him that this had happened. Unfortunately there are a few circumstances that prevent us from simply replacing it under warranty.

Had the belly pan been in place we would have easily been able to fix the can and get it back to him in just a couple of days and would have happily done so. Even though the belly pan was NOT in place, we would have most likely been able to repair it for him but, he took it upon himself, prior to contacting us, and attempted a fix with JB Weld. Now there is no way we can repair it which we would have happily done if he had not. We also cannot find an order from him for it. We have another order or two but none are for a catch can.

In order to warranty a product , we must be given the opportunity to repair it before replacement becomes an option. Warranty is also only extended to the original purchaser. It is possible it was purchased through a authorized retailer but we were not given that impression from the original correspondence.

Yeah I figured the JB Weld killed any chance of repairing the can too. Bummer.
