I can not say this for every manufacturer but I know DO and Snow say to put the solenoid as close as possible to the nozzle, not between the tank and pump. Putting it before the pump is how it use to be recommended by snow because their solenoid a couldn't handle the higher pressure but that has since been revised.

My Cooling Mist kit came with one, and I mounted it about where Vader did his. The way I see it, the closer to the nozzle the better. It should prevent all siphoning when you let off and the solenoid shuts, but on the off-chance that some of the fluid from the section between the solenoid output and the nozzle gets into the IM, I figure the shorter the run better b/c there will be less volume.

Solenoid per what I've read from various manufacturers, is to be placed close to the nozzle. Especially if the nozzles are placed post TB.

Cooling Mist specifically told me to place my solenoid between the pump and the nozzle, as close to the nozzle as possible. It's a 300psi rated solenoid, so it'll stop any flow that the pump could put out, but that wouldn't matter for me because of how I wired my system.

Anyways, several different WMI kit companies recommend several different mounting locations, IIRC. I'd just do what they say, because if you have a warranty issue and you don't mount it where they tell you to, they may deny coverage.
