MS6 Radiator Replacement

Alright guys so as you know I have probably replaced 80% of my car at this point lol Anyway my radiator has slowly developed a leak. The plastic bottom where the drain plug is, is the first culprit and the second is it slowly leaking out the seam where the core and the top section meet. It is nothing too bad but would like to replace this before winter.

I'm hoping someone has replaced a speed 6 radiator and if factory replacement is best or a a mishimoto or something like that.

 

I would get an aluminum one if it's available. You'll have less chance of a failure with that. If there is a dual pass option I would go for that.

 

I got an aluminum one. Kay... something or other. It is thicker than stock. Which is fine except one minor thing. The stock overflow tank won't fit with some intake manifolds, like my JMF with port injection. But, it is easy enough to get a generic overflow tank and relocate it.

 

So does the stock overflow tank not work with jmf and because of the thicker radiator or does it not even fit with just a jmf installed even if the radiator is stock?

 

I believe the stock overflow will work with the JMF with a stock radiator. I believe it was the extra thickness of the radiator that made it not work. But again, its not a big deal, easy to relocate.
