Sounds like it is loudest from the driver side of the engine.
Not sure what the issue could be. Had some codes when I purchased the car. Did an oil change, cleaned the throttle body and MAF sensor. Runs a lot better now, but would like to get rid of the ticking noise.
    2012 Mazdaspeed3 130,000 miles.

    Old codes:
P050A - Idle air control valve, cold start performance problem
P0401 - Exhaust gas recirculation system, insufficient flow detected
    P0300 - Random/multiple cylinder(s), misifre detected
P0685 - Engine control relay, open circuit
    P0171 - system too lean, bank 1

These were the codes I had when I bought it. Battery was also dead. Got a new battery, did the cleaning, reset engine light. Light just came back on. Will check codes tomorrow.

From your video it sounds like the normal noise from the fuel Injectors

Thanks for the feedback. This is the first Mazdaspeed3 I've worked on. Guess it is similar to WRXs and their loud injectors.
