I'll give that a try quick. Another thought. I see this restrictor or something in the factory turbo barb going to the wastegate. Any chance there's not 1 in the new turbo and that's causing issues?

Maybe there's not 1 in the new turbo and without it there's so much pressure it's keeping the solenoid open all the time?

No it probably just can't flow enough to drop pressure in the WG.
Upgrading the EBCS might actually resolve this in that case.

Ill get one if it comes to that. The only line that hasn't been replaced is the one from the turbo housing to the wastegste. I'll get that 1 tomorrow.

Turbo manufacturer got back with me today and say their units do not have that restrictor in the nipple going to the wastegate and they can see how that would effect the solenoid staying open dumping air back into the intake instead of building boost. Has anyone else had this issue or is this them not knowing what they're talking about

I put a mig gun tip in that line. .035. Made 18.49 psi. I believe the issue has been found.

Cut that nipple off of my old comp housing and locked it in that line with zip ties and logged my original 22.16 psi on e85. Will post a log tomorrow. I guess people usually don't have this issue, but factory turbochargers does not install a restrictor in that nipple so the ebcs will stay open and dump into the intake. They are going to be making a change to their replacement k04s.

It's a matter of the stock EBCS not being able to flow enough; thinking about it more, this is probably something done at the factory to tone down the response curve for having an undersized turbo on this 2.3 engine.

It was definitely done at the factory. And Factory turbo chargers had no idea. Will post a log if you guys would like. Thanks again for the help. Running better than ever. Full boost and no smoke. Lol
