    Hey everyone!

I'm a new member here, over from the other forum (which constantly seems to be down).

I've been an owner of a 2011 Mazdaspeed 3 since 2013. Haven't done a ton of stuff since its my daily driver:

    - Autotech Internals
    - COBB Accessport v3
    - 3" JBR tru-wide full aluminum intake
    - cPE stage 2 RMM
    - cPE injector seals (had to service a leaky injector, so why not upgrade?)
    - Stratified OTS Stage 1 flash tune

I was going to install a cPE catted DP, but cancelled the order since they were backlogged. Then switched to an ATP DP, but cancelled because of COVID (didn't want to lose the shipment with borders closing).

Fast forward to now, I've found rust on my speed 3 so decided to get that fixed instead of the DP.

So I currently have on order an ebay test pipe and am very tempted to try out an e85 (e30 mix) flash tune with the new test pipe. I'll have LOTS of questions about running a mix over the next few weeks.

    Sorry for the long intro!

    Andrew

Welcome man and glad you joined! @Raider has done great with this forum and we have the best guys around on here for sure! I am planning to also possibly do some E mix stuff so read this and hopefully it answers some of your questions as it definitely did mine.

Thank you @StreetSpeed6 and @Awafrican. Which part of Canada are you from?

I definitely read that thread yesterday!

Most of my questions will be about the need to frequently switch between an e30 and 91 pump gas tune. In Alberta we have only one e85 pump, but I know of a distributor of e85 and e98 in my area. I will want to ensure I dont risk damaging my ecu if I need to flash it frequently due to fuel availability on longer trips (>1.5 hours one way), or about safely transporting the fuel in a gas can if that is a viable option.

The benefits look amazing, but weighed against the inconvenience due to availability here, I'm not so sure. Haha.

Anyways, looking forward to being a part of the community here!

I'm out in Manitoba. Only got 91 here apparently some stations have 94 but have yet to find them :(.

You can flash that ecu over and over as long as your battery is charged if you haven't been driving much or you're noticing it going low then def be on a charger when flashing dead bat during flash is no good. I've had no issue with flashing my car since 2013.

@Awafrican that's awesome! I was born in Winnipeg, but my family moved to Alberta shortly thereafter. I have a lot of family out there, so I usually come out for a visit every summer...not sure about this year though due to the COVID restrictions.

Our Husky and Petro-can stations here usually have 94, apparently people love the Husky 94. We only have on e85 station here, but it's a 30 min drive from my house, but 5 mins away from work.

How long have you been a Speed owner? What mods do you currently have?

Been a speed owner since Oct 13 when I bought my Pu with 43km. Mods in my signature, intake/hpfp/dp/tune /rmm/rsb/OCC and it's been treating me well. Always other things a priority to me (diving buying a house etc) so haven't gone more than that. OCC definitely helps keep those valves clean I'm about due for a valve cleaning now.

@Awafrican, sorry I was using the site using my phone so didn't see your signature details.

I just noticed some of your other priorities, one being diving. I'm a PADI Open Water diver myself and was lucky to refresh this year in January in Mexico before all of the COVID lockdown stuff. Where have you been diving before?

In another thread I think I saw you are planning to go big turbo this year?

No worries I typically am on MSO on my phone and don't see sigs either. Nice, I've been been diving for sometime now.. did my first five at 10 with sharks in South Africa and have been hooked every since. Been diving Various places throughout Ontario, Australia, cayman islands, Mexico, Jamaica, Bahamas, virgin islands, Belize.

Yeah I'd really love to add some mods to the list but like you said you've seen some of my other priorities so additional mods takes a back burner, doesn't stop me from being active here though.
