New to this forum, was around on the old one, had a 2012 VRM now a 2010 CBM

What going on? I see a few names I recognize from the old site. I never posted much, but always loved what some people were doing to push the platform.

I just picked up a 2010, tech, 128k. 180-180-175-180. Stupid cylinder 3. Clean car other than short shift plate and Corksport knob. It actually looked not messed with which is why I picked it up. I have been looking for 3+ years for the right car to get back into this platform. I plan on keeping it.

My 2012 was the only car I ever regret getting rid of. I kept all the parts for some reason, I think I knew it was a mistake. I have had a few cars since then . . . '80 Corvette, crappy emissions motor but manual at least with a clean and unbranded 55k mile title, '09 E93 M3, great car with manual and every option, '99 E39 528, manual, 80k miles, and I may regret selling this one shortly after looking at the prices, quite a few dailies that I tend to flip out of pretty quickly . . .

I still have my '92 MX-3 (which I will finish the 0.060 overbore and de-stroked KL-ZE for someday, it will see 9k even if I blow a piston through the hood), '99 10AE Miata, and my '05 SL65 AMG which is never leaving.

I tore the manifold off and blasted the valves. Just installed the JBR mounts all around, HPFP internals, JBR intake, catch can, Aeroforce Interceptor gauges with oil temp and pressure sensors. Next is the Bilstien B8s and the extended studs for my cheap 17x9 TR Motorsport C3s. I will be adding a rear sway bar at some point and will be doing different springs. The Swift ones are too soft for track use. I mainly goofed off at Summit Point but want to take it at least to Watkins Glen and VIR. The Roller Coaster and Hog Pen would be a nightmare with those springs since they are so soft.

Side Note: WTF did Cobb do to the V2 Accessports? I had all my install files so big F-you to them, but if it doesn't work I will be going to Versatuner since that seems to be new ticket.

I only really posted this to say there are a few of us left from the old days to the other old guys. I don't post a ton, but thanks for getting another resource up. This is my 3rd dead platform that I plan on keeping and I really appreciate the effort you put into it!

 

Welcome to MSO! And V2 is obsolete now, they use V3. Versatuner is a vendor here and is still making enhancements as an option. Will for sure want a new tune. Purple Drank or Freek are the main go to now.
