Warning of the risk of buying parts on Facebook and other forums

Taken from a 2014 post on the old forum that has gone offline. I get 3-4 requests a WEEK, for help on purchases outside MSO. The vast majority of scammers are in Facebook Groups. Scammers use Googled images, or even more so, pics from old for sale posts. This is one that happened recently.

MSO has a pretty easy set of selling rules, and that cuts down on a scamming.

Metal Membership has it's rewards. Access to the for sale section and proper signage makes it a lot less risky.
