Had the pleasure of doing some R&D on 2003 Mazdaspeed Protege lady weekend. Front bumper had several measures to keep it flush with the body, but it never worked well. Took a couple pairs of my 1st gen Mazdaspeed brackets as did some testing, along with the American Made Quik-Latch.com latches. First day was a successful proof of concept. Will need a better way to secure it to the body. A little more hardware is needed. But the idea is that 2 MS3 kits will give the 3rd Gen Protege a better bumper fitment without rubber bands or even rivets. If all goes well, these will be added to the Mazdaspeeds.org Store![IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Looks good, but it does seem as though you got a little carried away with that drill on that fender.

That's what I thought too at first glance, but those were from the owners previous attempts at a bumper fix.

Nothing some ricey carbon fiber band aid shaped stickers cant fix.

To be fair i had a bracket riveted in place because that area of the bumper the tab is completely gone but I still like to think raider got carried away.

Life got in the way, but I think a pair of ms3 Gen1 brackets and some hardware will fix 3rd Gen Protege! News to come!
