Yes I know... There is a topic regarding this issue but this one is different.

    What is working:
    1. Bulb is working fine, even replaced it with 5 different bulbs
    2. No issue with the fuse
    3. There are 2 connectors, one connector that is hanging with the wires and the other one that the bulb is sitting inside. Both connectors are reading 12V when reverse gear is on. And read 0 Volt when removing reverse gear.

I have tried to switch the connectors with the fog light in the back and it WORKS.

The switch should work correctly because I get the 12V reading. The shit just does not light up for some reason.. seems like as soon as the bulb gets connected the voltage goes to 0, did not measure it though

Please help me, I am desperate of knowing what the hell is causing this circus.

All voltage in a circuit should equal zero when a load is applied. IE if you did a voltage drop test with a bulb illuminated testing between the + and - side of the bulb there would be 0 volts registering.

If you had any voltage then there is excessive resistance either in the circuit or the component.

As for testing the switch. Have you tried running a jumper wire to activate the bulb from the reverse switch? Or use a power probe to either supply power or ground to the reverse bulb side to see if the bulb lights up?

The fog lamp and reverse bulb could use a separate ground which is why the fog lamp works but the reverse light doesn't. Might be worth double checking a schematic to verify.

Let me know what you find and I'll do my best to help. I'm not at work so I can't pull any schematics up from Alldata right now.

Thank you for the reply. I have not tested to jumpwire the switch yet, do not even know where it is located. I'll try to do that this week as for now the temperature outside is -20 Celsius so it is really cold. As soon as I find the switch I'll try to reach it and jumpwire it for further troubleshooting.

I will update this thread as soon as I get that done :)

Update: I finally had time to work on this issue and found the problem, it was the switch. For people who got the same car as me, you can find the switch by dismounting the filter which is not screwed in, just pull it out and reach your hand to the gearbox through that gap and you should feel the switch.

I've now replaced the switch and everything is working fine. It's so irritating that something like that needs to break, so stupid.
