Anyone know if our engine shares the same bolt pattern as other Ford 2.3 engines? Was thinking about finding an old Ford ranger with a 2.3 or maybe an old mustang that had the 2.3 and putting one of my extra engines in it. Just curious if the trans will bolt up easily to our engines.

It would be easier to turbo the motor in the ranger

The bottom end is "FoMoCo Duratec" line so might work, but you won't be able to drive the DI injectors with anything other than a stock ECU or custom board.

And the stock ecu requires the stock gauge cluster bcm and wiring harness to work

I have another complete car. I was just thinking about pulling all the electronics and swapping over to something else. I use the other car for parts and was going to build 2 speeds but I’d rather put the engine and all the parts I’m taking off like the CST4 3.5” intake and put in to something rear wheels drive.

But what YEAR ranger/mustang are you talking about putting the engine into? The old 2.3 from a SVO/Thunderchicken/Ranger isnt the same as our blocks.
