I feel like it is still forever from being up and going but I can't wait to hear this wuhan war whistle!!!!! Haha :D Still waiting for the head from @Bigelow and the injectors from @JohnnyTightlips but other than that I have almost everything. The turbo lines and that's about it!

Got some more random goods today from good ol' Amazon. Turbo oil feed and drain AN fittings along with a 36" stainless feed line, and a t3 gasket that's supposed to be great. Hopefully the treadstone fittings are high quality! Accidentally only ordered one of my reducers for the giant new intercooler but got that and the turbo to air intake reducer as well.

I hate to spend a lot on fixing my head but I guess unless I buy a used head then it is looking like that is the route I may take. Thought I had one coming but guess possibly not idk. Been waiting for about 2 months almost now. Any really good perks of running the +1mm supertech valves from Edge over stock? Would they hold up to more wotbox action or other things I may be unaware of that is a big plus? Any thoughts welcome.

I found a guy selling one with full valvetrain for 300 plus shipping or one that has been resurfaced but has no valves or springs and all that for like 200. Just feeling like maybe the extra little bit pf cost for my head to be used might be worth it.

Hate to see my head go to waste but could use the extra $$ I save on valves to go towards CS cams in a different stock head??

Transfer case officially has new billet caps! Took a bit of tedious time removing ancient (what appeared to be) factory sealant from the mating surfaces. Smell was very gross and strong but didn't see anything that was alarming to my knowledge.

I cleaned the bolt heads for marking although I hope I never have to crack it back open again haha
Sealed it back up after torquing everything to spec. Used a bit of blue loctite on all the bolts inside for safe measure!
Cap Bolts I torqued to 38ft-lbs and outside case bolts I let the ultra black gasket maker set up and then torqued to 19ft-lbs

Finally bought a head and will hopefully be receiving it before too long. Guy says it will ship today so should show up middle of next week! Once I have the head I am planning to work harder on getting it all up and going.

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/125328479108

Will possibly be a week or so of waiting for my engine shop to setup my head after I do mild port work to it.

Also got my 2200cc pi injectors from @JohnnyTightlips which is great!

If anyone knows what belt I will need to run with my pi adapter please chime lol

I would make sure they are sending the cam caps with that head. From what I have heard they are specific to each head as they are line bored together.

What do you mean belt? Belt doesn’t change at all, it’s not effected by the PI adapter.

It appeared to have the cam caps and valves from what understand.

I was told that it pushes the power steering pump out further where it bolts up so you have to run a longer serpentine belt. If not then great though lol

That would mean that the PS pump bolts to the manifold, which is decidedly not the case.

It wouldn’t be enough to worry about. The Damond spacer for the pump doesnt move it that much. The tensioner will take care of whatever slack there may be

Well to remove the intake manifold you have to unbolt the ps pump so yeah it actually is the case lol

No, It's just that the PS pump is in the way. You've gotta take it off to get at the bolt, but if you used a stud and a nut, it might be possible to remove it without removing the PS pump (I'd have to doublecheck; would still be a pain though).

I understand what you mean but this is why I was asking. Also, I didn't get any adapter plate from Vince so I assume his car didn't need it.
** Notice how it mentions maybe needing a "longer belt" and the ps adapter to run the pi adapter.

The new donor head has arrived!
    IMG_20220603_155552216_HDR.jpg
I have to admit that the packaging was good but...... Have you ever wrapped a Christmas gift "GOOD" so that it sucked cutting open just to get to another layer that also sucked to open and so on until getting finally to the actual gift?? That's what they did pretty much lol one box taped on 75% of the exterior. Then the pic shows the inside box halfway apart trying to work my way to the actual head haha

Yes, I am porting the head but nervous about the bowl and wish someone could actually show me where would need cleaned up on our heads in there.

I am gasket matching intake and exhaust side, slightly enlarging inside runners possibly, and having my crower spring set installed with stock cams (unfortunately). I have been somewhat quiet because I am doing a lot of things right now and none of it is for my car.

Hopefully I will have my head ported and set up and get it all installed on the block within a few weeks. Wanting to have my car done by the end of July if possible!

Sounds like a plan captain! :) I know porting can actually hurt more than help when done wrong so I just want to make sure it is done right!
