    Hi All,

I believe I figured this out, just wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else. My Speed3 has been sitting in my driveway for about 5 months due to me needing to replace the throw out bearing.

Finally got the time to do it this past weekend and when removing the intake and bell housing, there was water pooled in the bottom of each with a small amount in the turbo. Nothing past the throttle body which I confirmed with a camera. The water in the transmission was very little, and not as much as in the intake.

I do have the Corksport hood scoop installed. When trying to figure out how this happened, I noticed the far two driver side bolts and nuts on the underside the secured the scoop and the diverter that seals to the TMIC were rusted when the other ones were fine.

I’m thinking water leaked through there, went into the JBR intake and slowly filled with water. That would have also dripped and made its way into the bell housing.

Thankfully my battery was dead so I was unable to start the car. If this is the reason, does anyone have suggestions on fixing? A little water proof sealant on said bolts? Weather stripping? TIA.
