Hey folks, I guess I'll start this thread and see where it goes.

I bought a 2012 MS3 brand new back in 2012. A few weeks later I took it up to a dyno day at Modern Automotive where I met many great people. My car made 272whp bone stock with less than 300 miles on it. The next week I swapped over every full bolt on you can get from a local guy's car that was stocking out. Took the speed back up to Modern Automotive for another dyno day and with bolt-ons and a tune and less than 1500 miles it made 302whp. It did have a tune from Finkle before it was Hypnotic Tuning. I drove that car hard every day and had at least 30 trips down the strip as well as 2 seasons of auto-cross on it without a single issue before selling it to my buddy with 80K on it. He drove it for another year before the turbo started smoking a little and he upgraded to a BNR and is still loving it. I recently went down to visit him and he let me take it out and it made me want another Speed.

I was just looking around on Marketplace about a week later and one of the members here, whom I had met several times, had his pretty much fully built MS6 up for sale for a very fair price. He then gave me a little keep it in the family discount and I couldn't pass it up. We worked out the details, he sent me the car, I sent him some money, he sent me a title. This brings me to this thread.

What I have now is a 2006 MS6 with the following mods:
    JBR Tru-3.0 intake
    BNR S4v2

Recently replaced: stainless steel brake lines, front pads/rotors (Hawk HPS/centric blanks), rear calipers pads and rotors (same as front), master cylinder, newer (but still used) ABS unit, brake fluid, oil, coolant, diff fluid, alternator, battery, electrical connector to alternator, Bosch sub in the rear, primary O2 sensor

This was a great setup to make some serious power. Most everything is there to support an S5 or S6 but I'll be rolling on the S4 for now. The car was running on a base map only and was tuned using Versatune. I prefer the AP so the first thing I did was buy an AP and have Will hook me up with some of that purple drank. I'm currently on my 3rd revision of my 93 tune and once that is dialed in we will work on my E30 tune. Vdyno shows me making just under 300whp with the Mustang Dyno CF currently.

Today I installed my wotbox and GTA bluetooth kit. I also ordered some H&R springs to go with the Bilsteins. Once they come in I'll get them put on and I don't plan to do too much else other than enjoy having a moderately fast car that I can drive to the grocery store. I'm going to try and post in this thread as things progress although most things will be small cosmetic upgrades and progress on my hp numbers as my tune gets further along.

TL;DR I used to own a Pu but I sold it and bought a 6. I'll post here when I do things to it.

Today my H&R springs should be here so I went and picked up a spring compressor from Auto Zone. I may not get to them today because the weather is crap and my shop is full but I'll be ready. I also got a CS boost gauge from Santa and started that install. I also went and took 2 logs from my 3rd revision with Will and plugged it in. Pretty stoked with this 93 tune at this point. I'll post some more pictures once the springs are on and the boost gauge is complete.

The PO installed the Bilsteins with the perch upside down so it is even worse than stock. I figured if I have to pull them anyway I might as well ditch the stock springs.

So I've been at a stand-still because I had a severe boost/vacuum leak somewhere. I figured out the leak was coming from a port on the side of the ST manifold and reached out to Damond Motorsports and they sent me a new cap that is better than the original. I was able to send a few more logs off today with no lost cap. I'm still trying to get the springs installed as it has been too dang cold lately to mess with them.

Well I typed up a really nice post and as soon as I went to post it, it got erased so...here we go again.

I got these brand new traklites and 0 mile p zeros from a Subie owner who sold her car before she installed them. They are 18x8.5 +42 wrapped in 245/40. I picked up the whole set for 800 and since my 17s needed tires anyways this was a no brainer. I'll sell my TSWs and pretty much break even or close to it.

I also got my H&R springs installed on all 4 corners and once it settles in I should be pretty happy with it.

I also got another revision from Will and he says my WGDC is maxed so hopefully I'll hold boost past 5500 or I'll have to make some changes. I'll try and grab some logs tomorrow.

I'll try and grab a better picture as well but here is what I ended up with after today's install.

I snapped a couple daytime pictures. I need to get an alignment in the next few days but I'm happy with how it is settling in.

I got the car aligned last week and the suspension has settled in nicely. I also added about 4 turns of preload to my wastegate actuator arm so hopefully we can keep making some power on this 93 tune. Oh and I found out my gas gauge is off by about 1/4 of a tank. I ran out with 1/4 tank and when I filled up the gauge was a 1/4 tank over full. Lesson learned.

Not much else to report. I'm still working on finding a way through the firewall for my boost gauge but I think I may just drill a hole and put in a grommet and be done. I would also like to find a way to stuff a small reservoir somewhere for washer fluid so I can at least have the option in an emergency.

Boost gauge was installed a few weeks ago and I tore into the rear seat to try and figure out why the fuel gauge is reading incorrectly. It seems the sending unit is okay but there are 2 of them on the 6 so I need to pull the other one from the tank and bench test it in line with the driver side. I think the basket might be hanging up on the AN fuel line fitting and causing it to sit lower in the tank than it actually is which is causing my incorrect reading.

I also got a call from Will at PD and he told me my BNR still isn't holding boost (which I knew) and said my only real option was to go EWG. I ordered up a Tial 44mm and because of the one off manifold I have I had to have a custom dump tube made. I hit up DTP Fabworks to see if he could put some of his goodness under my hood. After lots of communication and some 3d printing and measuring he was able to make what I needed from several states away. It is an absolute work of art and if you need any metal work or manifolds or pipes I highly suggest reaching out to Jimi.

I should be able to put the fuel tank back in today and tighten down the rings and I should be able to get my new logs with the EWG setup. I can't wait to hear it.

I also drove down last weekend and picked up a parts car minus an engine/trans/tcase for a couple hundred so I can have some of those parts that might pop up. I'm hoping to pull the headlights and get some new lenses and see if I can do that without screwing it up.
