Hey guys, I am looking for some help, I have a crank position sensor error code on my newly swapped 2013 MS3. The car runs fine and there are no issues with power or anything.

I don't have the tool to screw into the back of the block to set the CPS so I am wondering how you guys clear that code? I tried with my scanner and it comes back on next time I drive the car.

    thx

You may have a faulty CPS. take it out and wipe if down, may be dirty. Or CPS is bad, or timing is 1 tooth off.

Cleaned it and tried 2 different ones. Car runs fine but I get the code with both. Should I try moving the sensor a bit to see if it clears it up ?

If you're running a bigger intake you may need to zero out any cells in your MAF below 2.0 g/s (if you get the issue on startup).

Edit: Might actually be zero out any cells below .9 MAFv

1 tooth off can sometimes make the car run ok. Got a datalog?
