I just installed the Sonic Tuning S3 coilovers and front endlinks on my gen2. I am getting a strange clunk/clicking while turning occasionally. My guess is something with the endlinks. I preloaded the coils with the endlinks on. Do I need to to remove endlinks before preloading?

For endlinks u ideally want the car on the ground and you dont want the links preloaded. So with both end links disconnected from the strut you should be able to move them in and out of the hole freely. If you can do that then you have no preload. Just connect and tighten down.

Now i have same coils on gen 1 and i believe my endlinks are bad. They are cheap ass endlinks and wish they didnt even come with the kit. Try you oem ones. I bet ur noise goes away.

Confirmed that was the issue. I agree, the endlinks that came with that kit are not the best. I would have reused the stockers, but i had to drill them out.

Good job. I had ordered oem links and they were to long to fit so looks like i have to find smaller end links or just buy good adjustable ones.
