Autotech says upon inspecting my internals , the tolerances seem to be a little too tight. A new set is in the mail. New pump without a busted spill valve connector is waiting for new internals.

Ok so still waiting for new internals. Spoke with Justin at freektune who tuned my car. He said when he sees hpfp pressure drop for just one cell in a log as odd as it sounds it's usually been a plug misfire. He said to try ngk3787 gapped at .026-.028. Anyone else run this plug? Is that the factory plug I've been running 1 step colder

If you are under 600 ish hp you should probably be on stock heat range plugs

Also your fuel pump internals we're definitely messed up so don't change anything else until you get those back in

Yea I figured I'd do the internals and if nothing changed I'd keep the hunt going. Lol.

Ooh, you didn't know it's push to release did you? You thought it was a clip like the yellow one on the HPFP, but reality is you push on the white part and that spreads the lock out so you can remove the line.

The goal is to make the sides kick out.

And yes, it should just push back on. The white plastic nipple is pretty much exactly like the fittings on the HPFP where the yellow and blue lines connect.

Looking online the strainer for the mazda 3 looks the same. Plastic bracket and all. Will it fit and work?
