Have had issues with my doors not opening when I pull the handle. The handle also does not retract. A few times later, they open. Well the reason is, the handle is failing and is going to break. Yay plastic. You can see how the handle is stuck out.

They come black. I had a body shop paint them. Turned out awesome.

Maybe you're pulling on it too hard! ;)
Nice to see replacements/solutions can still be had.

I wish it was that simple. But if you look on the road at newer cars missing door handles, this is why. Plastic doesnt age. 3 of 4 broken, all 4 in trash.

I know it might be old news but, first gen ms3 uses the same door handle as ford mustang and ford fusion. I learned this when I bought stupid ricer door handle covers.

I remember this, could not find any documentation. OEM driver's door is no longer available, (NLA), so maybe Ford has it.

Not fun update. The damn new handle broke on the passenger door. While sitting. Same crap oem design. He reworked it but it's a disappointing result after a week.

Videos showing the fail of oem and Dorman. Then his fixes.

I pulled mine apart recently and was able to JB weld it back to a functional state. A nice fix for the time being.

Having had my Dorman's fail, I am tempted to get OEM as it was a big bummer.
