Bought first speed 3 Mica Blue 08 in dec 08 excellent experience never returned to Dealer...ever.
Reminded me of my new 1985 4runner Yota sr5 efi same thing.
Sold to my son, he grew up riding and learning in it. So on to the story...
Cheap speeding was a big loss, since long time MC racer with Cardio problems and blood thinners are a
bitch for closed head drama..ie helmet bump / brain bleed = dead.
So (laughing yes) 07 Cobalt SS...............nice mechanical but moron PO on electronics, so was a cheap
great buy...but...SLOW in comparison. 07 328 xi wagon was faster!!! Damn it, but clutch/throttle/shifter is
freaky great. a Throttle stroke Engagement masterpiece.....still have as one of nine good running rides...
So Craiglist task... found 07 speed non running m/c dealer listed, was a auction non runner bought to turn
flip...but could NOT FIX.. so listed as not running BYT $2000. Carbon fiber hood, tailgate (oblivious crashed) maybe. Bought towed home. Replaced VVT (was destroyed) cam drive train, exhaust cam #4 journal wiped, replaced (ford), 8 new (with old 16) valve buckets to adj all at 50% of clearance spec. All normal maintenance tuneup parts replaced.
Now figured was unmarried AP but returned to stock and a key was ok for Versa Tunes Programming.
So got running well, I hope. Mass Air corrected, added to typical misc stuff a good mechanic would need to get running and on a Base 93US Grimmspeed Interrupt Tune....
Thanks for letting me post :)

Well sounds like you've been in the game long enough, glad you got her running. You make it sound so easy I'd love to wrench with you I know I'd learn a few things. My neighbor restores older cars he's almost retired we got chatting and I'm hoping to slip into the garage once this covid thing clears. (we share backyard fences so don't chat much).
