Damond TMM went in. Changed oil and added a easy drain valve. Changed manual transmission fluid and added a dimple drain plug. Rotated tires. Just need to change my glovebox bulb now.

What easy drain valve did you use? any reason why you didn't also go with the dimple magnetic one here as well?

It's from the easy oil drain valve site (EZ 106 I think). I had to get the extension due to pan shape and I added the hose end. I went with this strictly because it is far easier to drain the oil with zero mess. I've checked my drained oil with a magnet and haven't really picked up any metal so far. I'm at 62k miles right now.

Trans fluid looked good too, but thought I'd try the dimple olug and see what happens. I need to get a set for the bike as well.

@ToyCop definitely something to consider, ease vs protection. It would be great if dimple and them did a collaboration for the best of both worlds.

You could get the dimple magnets that surround the oil filter.

true. That would require me to get the spin on filter conversion kit as those magnets don't work with the gen one cartridge style. Something to consider.

Installed a hitch to mount my bike rack. Might come in handy for track tires too. The draw tight one from etrailer mounts pretty deep and you can't even see it unless you bend down to eye level.

That's a nice accessory to have!
I'm just curious: why not an S3? Are you planning on building? On stock block, the S3 is PHENOMENAL. It hits 20psi ~500 rpms sooner than the S4 too, and is very responsive.

Honestly, because I got to keep up with @LynzeC .

That and this way if I zzb I can build and not have to buy a new turbo immediately to make use of the build. Besides I will get a lot more performance out of a S4 than a S3. 1-2% increased turbo speed per 1k feet of elevation, at 8500 ft that is pretty significant. My friends with S3's max out around 330hp with e in Denver. I go up in elevation 3500 ft from there.

Oh, wow, yeah that altitude can be killer. I'm sitting here at ~500 or so ASL in DFW, TX, and my BNR S3 is happy making 385/380 when the weather is nice :D

Changed oil, with only 4150km it was smelling pretty Gassey, oil analysis to be sent off. Main reason for change so dam early is track day on Monday. Oil analysis to be mailed out this weekend

Im curious what you plan to pick up with the magnetic drain plug? We have aluminum blocks so what material are you trying to get with the magnet? I assume most would be small enough to catch with the filter, or big enough that your motor is screwed if its in your oil pan.

I've actually had some shaving on my plug the last oil change, the one I did yesterday just looked a little gunky, more like residue, don't think to take pics. At the very least the plug looks cool haha

Hmm wonder what thats from. If its that small, its probably not much to worry about. Really, I wouldnt trade the quik valve I have there. makes oil changes so much easier and cleaner.

My dimple always has a very thin residue of iron on it. It's super fine and very small quantity. Probably wear metal from crank and cams. It doesn't bother me as it is slight and consistent. If one day it changes significantly, that's when I'll worry.

I wonder if the outer layer of our main and cam bearings would adhere to a magnet?
