Probably, most of those probably have at least some ferrous content, and the dimple magnets are really strong.

Installed my Block8Head pod along with my STRI boost and PI fuel pressure gauges. Car isn't running but it counts as something!

Fixed my rattling spoiler. All the hardware was tight but the foam tape Mazda uses was thin, dry and didn't take up enough space. Hot Lowes on the way home for 3/4"x7/16" rubber weather seal. Annoying rattle fixed for good.

Put in an order for the Stratified E85 Flash Tune. Bought it mainly for knock protection, but I'm also excited to see what kind of extra power it can give.

Decided to go load-based, eh? Now's a good time to find the knock threshold and tune accordingly, due to the summertime temps we've been having. Then again, on an E85 mix flash tune, Stratified may not push timing very much anyways...

Re-gapped my plugs, seems they open up after some time. It's been about six months since gapping at .026, two were at .028 and two were .030.

It's only a flash tune so I doubt they would be pushing it too much. I'll wait till I get an upgraded TMIC then I'll probably go with a full custom tune then.

Yeah, it's the difference between a tune that's geared toward your car in a safe/performance-oriented sense vs. a tune that is precisely calibrated and revised for you numerous times.

I'm curious: why Stratified? Virtually all of us locals went FREEKTUNE. Alex and the folks from Stratified are top-notch too, but they also only load-based tune. This means that you won't get as much of a performance boost (usually) during the cold months as you would from a boost-based or hybrid tune. Personally, I like hybrid the best. That's what I always did when I self-tuned for years. But then again, load-based tunes are supposed to feel smoother I've been told. Then again, a lot of that may have to do with throttle translation tables too.

Really depends what you're after. I love my Stratified tune because my car is driven every day and temps here range from -10 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. I know I'm leaving performance on the table when it's cold, but the car is very smooth and consistent. I also can floor it in the middle of winter if I want without worrying that I'll blow something up.

If I was going for the limit of performance I would boost or hybrid tune, but for how I use my car, the load tune is the way to go.

I mostly enjoy twisty roads so consistent smooth response is more important to me than ultimate acceleration capability.

You probably already know this, but part of the function of load caps in a hybrid tuning strategy is to keep the car safe in the cold. That's one of the reasons I find them superior to purely boost-based. The only possible problem that can't be tuned out is creep (mechanical issue, not tuning issue). I have creep when it's really cold, sometimes. But I also have a Guardian Angel, so I'm covered :D

Anywho... no more threadjackin' from me *blush*

Well, although vibration free there is one section of foam seal that I put on that's partially visible in daylight, didn't notice it last night. So the spoiler will be coming off and replacing the grey seal with a black one. Maybe this time I'll take a pic or two and create a how-to thread for others.

Same here. Had a slightly small amount of metal on it. Very small amount and what looked to be some black or really dark residue on it as well.

Drained/filled the transmission fluid a couple times on my wife's escape. I was about 118k miles overdue.

I also removed the airbag fuse in my fusion because the passenger airbag is now part of the big recall. I'm going to remove the airbag today so i can put back the fuse and still get airbag protection on my side.
