So today, @Need2pu and I hopped on a dyno to have @Realgib3 finish our tunes. Between the both of us, we finished close to 1100whp combined.

My car we stopped at 35psi on the PTE 5862, which had IDC right at 100 with the 2000cc/min of meth spraying. My 3.5 inch intake is also near maxed out as far as MAF voltage goes.

I'm keeping the power numbers to myself as I like to be sneaky on the streets, but here is a comparison from the 32psi map with 16.5* timing we started with after I didn't feel like street tuning anymore, and the 35psi map with 18* timing we finished with

And here's the video of my final pull on my final map and Kevin's final pull on his final map with his 6266

Big thanks to Mark for the bad ass tunes, and to our friend Scott, for securing the dyno location and time and being behind the wheel during our pulls!

    More minor stuff.

After finishing up the dyno tuning session on Saturday, we all went to Hoppin Frog Brewery and celebrated the horsepowers with some good food and beer.

Did a couple pulls on the way home, and right as I pull in my driveway I hear a clunk and something metal fall on the road.

Put the car in the garage and found my Kozmic dump tube laying in the street. The weld at the flange snapped straight off.

Took it to a friend who can weld to clean it up and re weld it last night.

Did you make sure you put them on blast all over Facebook? Because Mazdaspeed owner policy is to do so. :)

Hell no. I politely emailed Alan and JP over at Edgeautosport, whom I bought it from back in December 2014 and asked if they'd seen it before and if there's any sort of warranty. With kozmic being closed on Monday, they said I'd have an answer today. Regardless, I didn't want to be in a situation where I wanted to boost and and couldn't because of flames shooting right out of the wastegate onto my downpipe, so I had it fixed. I don't expect kozmic to warranty a piece I've had for a year and a half.

Still, that weld may have looked pretty but dang, absolutely no penetration.

Yeah, my friend who rewelded it said the same thing. Said not enough heat used when welding either. Oh well, it is what it is. Lasted 75k before it broke lol

Is the dump pipe totally unsupported other than the flange?

Would be best for longevity if they were braced against something more than halfway down.

Agreed. I'm not too worried about it, though. The weld I had redone is much stronger than the original. And kozmic sent me another one under warranty that I can keep as a back up. The original weld lasted 75k worth of abuse.

Probably the most nerve racking moment I've had in a while. First compression test since the motor was broken in.

welp, clutch started slipping a few weeks ago. Time to save up and go back to a 6 Puck and hopefully retire the car from Daily Driver duty here shortly
